Default Verizon Email

A few days ago I received an email from my ISP, verizon, well as I thought it was from Verizon. It said that they couldnt get my billing information for the month of December and asked us to fill out a form giving out our credit card number with the PIN number. That's when I got suspicious. They shouldnt ask you for your credit card PIN number. They threatened to close my account and I called my ISP and they said, NO email like that has been sent out. If you have a verizon internet connection please be aware of this. Their website was an IP Address, not a .com or .net domain. I didnt save the email so I cant state exactly what it said but I remember. Dont give out information that can get you defrauded.

In the future, you should copy all fraud emails here, including the header. Thanks for the heads up

As always, throwing out new ideas just to get information from the consumers. What happens if the recipient didn't have a Verizon line? lol!

But you did have a Verizon line right? If that is the case; how did the phishers able to get a hold of your e-mail add?

A company never asks you for any such creditcard information to be filled up in a mail . Instead they take you to a portal and you fill requisite details there.
