Default How often do you really encounter fraudulent websites?

The title really much says it:

There is so much talk about fraudulent websites but ho often do you really open one and don't see directly that they are not legit?

Fortunately, I've never encountered them by actually surfing. I get the phishing emails with them in there however. I did get one of those typo squatter search portals for my bank one time which was kind of unnerving.

Is the yahoo seal that you are referring to the new security measure they put in when you login to your account in yahoo? If that is the case, now I know what is the purpose of that picture/icon yahoo prompts you to put.

Before, I often encounter fraudulent websites. This happened because before I am fond on clicking all the freebies and promo links sent to me. I reformatted my computer and change my email address.

Now, I seldom encounter them. I guess only once in a week.

Most phishing activities or scamming sites are sent through e-mails. There are also some sites that are fraudulent, but you usually won't notice them. I for instance don't encounter them that often when I just surf.

Hmm, I dont encounter them regularly, maybe once a week? I'm pretty wary online, dont go any place or click on any link that i think might be dodgy.
