Have you noticed Google giving you a heads up on your search returns when you click on a possible bad site after it is returned in your search results. Check out stop badware.org for more information here
i would like to know which parameters do they use to check if the site is legitimate or not. it gives u a intimation of the site but i really wanna know how do they decide it.. anyone here who knows abt this?
I think that this is great of google to do such a thing to protect users for visiting the sites and potientally harming there computer.
I sometimes feel bad for the webmasters that get black flagged by google as being a bad site. I know megagames.com was a while ago and it is a very good reputation site but they had a bad ad on the site that hurt them.
I've never seen any warnings from google in any of my searches. How can you tell? Does google provide clear warnings or is it something shown in the google toolbar?
I Find it annoying. When I go to some of the .... Fishy sites that I go to from time to time, I have to retype the URL, because of that page. Should be a way to turn it off.
I wrote a blog on this Google Tags Your Site As Harmful... if that gives you an idea.. They sent warning at abuse@domainname.com, I suppose. I had few client's domains listed in the Google badware listing and on deeper investigation Google was perfectly correct. Their domains were listed because there was an iframe code which was linked to malware sites.
