I have tried it. Funny that search results are displayed in reverse. I guess this is the logic behind its name elgoog. I think the people who have developed this are genius.

I've tried it out for fun sake only.

It seems that they are asking for donations and I don't think that it is a scam. Just their own way of saying anybody could help.

Nice, that's a good idea, could be very viral by word of mouth! Someone was on their feet when they thought of producing a mirror of google!

There is also a different type of site that has to do with google as well that I find fun to use but needs some work
