Default Modeling Agencies

There are thousands of modeling agencies out there. Many are well known others are very new, no one ever heard of them. There are also people trying to take advantage of others trying to pursue a career in modeling. About a year ago I remember a modeling agency in lower Manhattan (new york) was shut down and sued for millions of dollars for ripping off their customers by eating their money and never having anyone published.

For those wanting to pursue a career in modeling. Beware of everything. Read everything and dont keep paying.

I've seen a couple of sites that makes you pay a certain amount so that you will be published on their site. They say that they will also look for agents to represent you. I don't remember the name of the site and I hope that no one will be taken advantage of by them.

Hmm modelling agencies , thats a new one on the list of scammers services. I agree with intex there are many modelling agencies here and some of them are pretty much made up for scamming people and nothing else.

There are many modeling agencies online, but not all of them are scams. I think that any aspiring model should check out the background of the agency and see their reputation, what is the latest news about such agencies. They should do their research before choosing which agency they would like to represent them.

They focus on those girls who are desperate to get in the model market, and profit from that. Basically they aim for those with dreams.

If you are really beautiful you shouldnt have to pay for becoming a model.....

Yes, I've had a bad experience with a model agency as well.
This actually happened in rela life and not online.
This person approached me and offered me a job as a part-time model.
The catch was, I had to pay for the filming expenses myself.

Naturally, I felt the same way as some of you, that I should not have to be made to pay the money myself.
Therefore, I turned down the offer on the spot.
A few months later, my local newspaper reported this company as a scam which has conned many other youths of their money.

Lucky me.
