In my experience selling "real world" on forums is very unsuccessful.

Even if i were to buy something like that off forums. Id ask for more information to see what kind of a response I got back.

one suggestion, ask the person to ship the item and give you a tracking number so you can track then pay, but i doubt someone would do that as you may never pay, only do ebay people lol

I am a moderator on another forum, and we get these emails all the time. What we recently did was make it that the first 5 posts have to be moderated before hand, to reduce spam.

Thanks for warning me about that. I actually saw one of these posts this morning and I was thinking of getting it. I hope no one else falls for this then.

I see which ones are bots, but if they are established members on the forums, I will buy from them if I like the product. I already have, I have gotten an X-Box and several games before and no problems. Just know your seller.

I agree with Atulperx why would someone order something from someone without getting in contact with them first before sending money.

I also run a forum and have problems with bots posting! There is an anti-spam mod for vb you can get that's literally 100% effective at catching the bots!

Whenever i have to buy such things i go to real world shops where i buy goods with hard cash. With so many scams i have lost my trust from electronic shopping all together.

I have seen many of them at inactive forums because admins do not delete such posts. I knew that they were scam but thanks for confirming, I won't click their link ever.
