Default PostingForCash Forum Scam

I joined the forum called PostingForCash a few weeks ago, made posts, and brought 60+ referrals to the forum. I earned over $15 and was due a payment but the admin kept pushing it back a few days for lame excuses.

Anyway, a few days ago I visit the forum again to see what's going on and I get this message:

PostingForCash Shut Down

No, this is not an April fools joke, we are shutting down. We never had enough revenue to pay the posters! I'm terribly sorry.
Thanks,
Steve

Is there anyway to find him? I noticed that he uses an ad program called Exoclick and his referral link is (ExoClick.com - Innovative PPC platform) for it. Maybe we can track him by that?

If you can report him to Exoclick then it might be a good idea but I don't think they will help much because they aren't involved in between yours and Steve's agreement. I'm sorry it happened to you

It is very difficult to trace such scams as generally they don't use original name and address in their forum as they have planned all from the start

Go to WhoIs.sc and type the site's URL in there. The owner's information should be there, unless he has a guard up.

They're lying about the revenue just so everyone knows. When you have a posting company, they sell posts at a high rate and split the revenue made. They sell 1 post at 20 cents, keep ten cents for themselves then give the other 10 to the poster. These guys are just greedy.

I have heard of this happening to many people, just when they reach pay out the site closes down.

There are sites that pay you to post and I have been paid from 2 of them and I am a regular member of them.

Sites like the one you joined give sites that are reputable a bad name. It is unfortunately trial and error before we find out which ones we can trust and which ones we can not.

The sites that sound too good to be true, usually are.

Doing work for this types of forums is always a risk but sometimes we can also find some sites where they can pay us honestly and appreciate our efforts

I don't think the challenge is honest pay for honest effort but an unrealistic approach. Most of the time, forum owners think that the users will stick around or more so that they will provide quality post but the vast majority of paid posters do very poor work, thinking that 20 post in 2 minutes is a good thing.

The sad part is that overall paid forum posters are only hurting themselves as not doing a good job only in the long run causes the forum to become less and less valuable, hence the paid posters are left with little work. I always find this approach to anything funny as if people just do a good job, overall they will find in the end, sometimes they benefit more than the quick cash payout.
