Default MyeTalk - Fraud?

MyeTalk.com held a referral contest for a couple of months.

Not a lot of members participated but there were a few who actually tried hard to refer people.

The admin(the person offering $1k as the grand prize) was fairly active in the beginning and promoting this contest a bit.

After a while he started being more and more absent. Now he's been M.I.A. for a couple of weeks.

He says he's been caught up in court and the other admin backed him up and said he was being truthful when he said that.

I personally asked if the contest was still going and if the winner would actually get the prize. Right away, the admin said, "Of course".

The second admin was missing for a while as well but he came back and was showing up daily. Now, he's gone M.I.A. as well.

It's been almost a month and still no one has calculated referrals, paid the winner or even made a valuable appearance.

The members was asking if they would come around(the admins) and after looking at their profiles they did come around. In fact, they were there the same day members were asking but they didn't make an appearance on the board.

Do you think this is being fraudulent or will they eventually pay?

It's irritating to see that they were online yet made no effort to complete the contest or just give an explanation.

Just one more internet fraud. Certainly the admins were checking up on how hostile those defrauded were becoming. If not too bad, they might continue to perpetuate the scam. If things were getting testy, then they would (and eventually will) just pull the site down.

How convenient. Only one in a repertoire of ways to 'make' money on the internet ...if you can manage your conscience, that, is.

Thank you,

Well it's admin number 1's money and site. Admin number 2's been there longer though and has said he knows who the winners are. It really sucks for the people who tried.

*UPDATE*

This guy is threatening to ban the staff now. He's crazy. I definitely would steer clear of doing business with him or participating in any of his "contests".

He also goes by the username of "Notsofast" on DP.

No one got their money and everyone decided to leave the site.
It is now completely dead...
