Send them a polite reminder before taking action, and tell them that you WILL be taking action in 72 hours.

Then do it.

I've found that the only way of dealing with non payment is not to let it go on longer than a week.

Yes, lowering itrade or give a right feedback would help others think twice before dealing with him and you can post comments on him as well.. if you find that your polite notice made no difference.

The best thing to do is to lower the itrader and the reputation.
Lol it is only now that I remember that I have someone that owe me $2.

Keep reminding them through pm's. Do not post about it though because they are notorious for giving out infractions like candy, as I found out the hard way!

Remind them about the payments through some PMs. If they donot reply back, then send them a negative itrader. In my experience, nobody deals with a person with a negative itrader on DP Forums.

Yes, I too have done work for people at DP and been told to go F.O. when I've requested payment. Giving them a negative iTrader doesn't work because they will just come along and negative post your credibility. As you say, people don't want to deal with people with red marks, so you are stuck. Contacting the admin about thieves on their forum is futile because they don't seem to give a dump.

Best advice, live and learn, write off the bad experiences and try to screen who you work for. Do a little ,then get paid. That way you don't loose too much. If someone is wanting a LOT of work before they pay you, they are probably planning on ripping you off anyway.

they can kill your iTrader back if you do that. The best thing for you to do is just go to the next bidder and forget about them or try reselling because they are not really in a binding contract with you so they dont have to pay. Try to post in General section about them to give them bad rep..

Do give them a remonder through pms. If still they dont reply then take the action of lowering their itrader points. I`ll suggest you not to take any action if they give a positive reply to you.

Ask them to pay you for your hard work and if they doesn't pay, leave them negative iTrader and report them to mods and admins so they can take action against them.
