Default Directory submission fraud at forums

There are many people at different forums who are willing to make directory submissions of your website for very cheap. I recently got scammed from one of them. I got only 23 submissions out of 100 and when I asked him, he said that he only promise submissions and not approvals. I think it is a fraud, what do you think?

There is nothing much you can do other chargeback if you paid by paypal but I dont think paypal would help you much because they can show proof of their lousy work.

That's the problem with directory submissions because it is true that approval is not that quick. You just have to wait and you just cannot know whether the person has done its job or not.

It depends on the submission

I personally am a social bookmarking submitter and more or less everything is approved...What was the topic of your submission ?

I still believe directory links are overrated. I think the traffic you get is minimal unless it is a highly visited directory, and you usually have to pay for those links. The only thing you get out of it is a backlink.

You might feel played but it's not a fraud. It was a directory submission service, not an approval service.

If someone is selling you directory approvals, that's a scam as well. No one but the owner can guarantee that.

Post him a negative feedback, reviews. He will try to contract you and negotiate. It happened for me too. The seller told me that they submit to 500 directories manually. But i only got 20 emails confirm or so. I contracted him, he lied and stuff but then told him i would post negative reviews and leave him - feedback. He agree to refund.

It was clearly his fault though.
