Was it all in one post or was it one post after another? That would definitely earn you some infractions.
Either that or all of it could have been said in a PM.
They're pretty strict when it comes to following the rules.

I got 3 infractions way back like in june for bumping my thread as well. But they expired and I never do it again. If the moderator (yes I said moderator as in only one since dp only has one mod as stated by Shawn) sees any kind of misbehaviour he will react right away.

Digitalpoint hasn't had only one moderator since 2004.
They currently have fifteen moderators.

Really? How they solve the scam problem with one moderator? I know that DP is the largest forum until today. If they still with one moderator they cant stand anymore. I also dint get my payment two time.

DP lacks moderators. Infractions are always sharp to give but they don't ban scammers. I was once scammed there but DP didn't even bother to ban her

Moderators is one thing that DP does not lack. Moderators who will provide support is what they lack.

its sad to say that we can't all escape scamming. it happens everywhere and we just have to face the music.

but happily, i have never experience someone paying me for my work.

I haven't got my payment lot of times, during one time the op who had given me the job was banned and he never replied to my mails too. There is sudden increase in spams and there are lot of ban's going on too.

I think they should implement a rule where you have to give fifty percent of the payment before doing the job, or something to that effect.
