It does seem an awful lot of money for that amount of posts. Most paid to post sites offer between 0.01c/0.05c per post these are the genuine ones.

Is he a very good friend of yours, you refer to him as 'your friend' do you know him well ? If you do then maybe you can chat to him and ask him why he offered you $500 and only paid you $1.

If you do not know him that well then I would not return to post for him. Sites that offer large amounts of money for doing very little very rarely pay out that amount.

That's why I never do business with friends. They t hink they can get away with things with people they know.
Just ask him in person. Was the transaction through PayPal or in person?

If worse comes to worst, do a chargeback via payPal(if the deal was through PP).
