From the point of view of the merchant, egold is better because it does not have any chargeback feature. Transactions with egold are good as final. Moreover, egold's coverage is worldwide.

I think that e-gold is better because there are no chargebacks and almost anyone can get an account.
There is no need to have a credit, debit or bank account linked to it.

All you need to open an egold account is your unique email address and your personal information. Approval is automatic since your account is not subjected to verification process.

Paypal by far, egold has some good features, but I prefer paypal! It is very secure and buyer/seller protection is nice to have in those somewhat dangerous situations!

I find egold more secured than Paypal. For one, it has its secured socker layer feature (HTTPS). It is equipped with a virtual keyboard called SRK. It makes use of a dynamic Turing number which can't be easily copied by phishers. It provides an IP checking system which requires you to enter a PIN if your IP address changes.

Both are good and bad for some reasons.

For example:

E-Gold is good for merchants because there is no chargeback option but it is bad for buyers who pays dishonest people in advance.

Paypal is good for buyers who can chargeback against dishonest merchants but it is bad for merchants if they get dishonest buyers.

That is big benefit and ease of online payment account at its maximum . I have only some problem withdrawing money . One more thing is it's acceptanace worldwide . I think this area needs some more attention .
