If you mean eBay, there are tons of scammers out there, but its easy enough to avoid them most of the time if you read the auctions carefully and study peoples feedback.

If you mean eGold - I don't have an account myself, but I've read a lot of bad things about them - I'd stick to Paypal unless you physically need an eGold account.

The kind of issues I have read about aren't people outside the company trying to hack your account, but the company themselves zeroing balances and refusing to give a reason.

Thats why I'm saying they sound like a bad company to deal with.

I had a friend whose egold account was hacked. That was a month ago. But I am glad now, because Egold always sends an email and notification to the account holder if the account was accessed in a different IP address. They usually suggest changing your passphrase. I guess in a way this would help users of egold to secure their account.

Yes, you have a point there. It may be very hard for them to check always check their email. It is still best to use paypal because of this egold fraud. Too sad, I stick with egold since we don't have paypal here.

I have been using egold for the past three years. My transactions with egold are even more active than that of my Paypal account. So far I have not experienced any problem. Egold funds are even easy for me to exchange thru a third party exchanger.
