Does e-gold charge more or less than paypal does. I have never used e-gold to be honest?

Transaction fees for egold are lesser than Paypal and fees vary depending ont your gold value. You can compare here http://www.e-gold.com/fees.html and Fees - PayPal .

This is a very helpful thread, because I was also considering eGold but never new the fee structure and if it was truly reliable.

Your egold funds earn if the gold value appreciates. This is one advantage of maintaining your funds with egold. However, if it depreciates, your corresponding egold funds also depreciate. It pays to be a good speculator.

Egold is good for micropayments.

there is a lot of difference in e gold fees and papal.e gold has advantages in your account profit ..

The fee structure for both paypal and e-gold is same (i.e. Receiver has to pay the fees). I didn't check any charts but I have noticed that Paypal fees is way higher as compared to E-Gold.

The gold is quite on rishing these days so having an account in egold can quite be an investment.

It can be a good investment only if you have huge amount of money. If you are thinking to earn with small money then it is not worth it because most of it would be gone in fees etc.

They fees is very minimal in E-Gold and most of times, you won't even notice it. In Egold, the receiver has to bear the fees just like Paypal.
