Default Buyer protection for E-gold user

Just read in some old thread, E-gold not have chargeback option to protect buyer from potential frauds. So curious to know how does e-gold actually protects it consumers from such frauds.

I think they actually have people, not programs that do this for their users on the website!

Egold blocks egold account holders accused of fraud. That is if there is a justifiable case against an alleged egold account holder. Egold has started its campaign in ridding out questionable egold account holders and has openly stated that information about these account holders are open for scrutiny and for further investigation by concerned authorities.

E-Gold can only block the fraudulent members, you won't even get the money back because it isn't in their policy. The only thing which you can do is precaution. Like never send the money first if you are buying a product or use a third party escrow service.

this is one disadvantage in having a e gold account , it does not give charge back . but by considering the other advantages this can overcome it

E-Gold offers less security for buyers but major security to sellers. One good thing for buyers would be to use escrow service to prevent fraud.

All they will do for you is ban the seller. But that is no way going to get you back your drowned money.

Chargebacks are not possible in egold. If you see their homepage closely, they mention that there is no chargeback. It might be better for buyers but for sellers who get victim of fraud, it is not very good.

Yes, i too think E-Gold offers less security for buyers but major security to sellers and yes, Chargebacks are not possible in egold. I think this is the main disadvantange in it.
