You have to use an exchanger to get the e-gold in there. I've used The Bullion Exchange without any trouble in the past. I'm not sure how well they are now.

You should try Omnipay.com to fund your e-gold account. It would be the most trust able site because it is owned by the same people who own E-Gold. You can also try 3rd party exchanger at different forums.
