Laptop Scams

I was looking on ebay last year for an alienware laptop and i found hundreds of auctions selling expensive $3,500 or more laptops for only $800
I was almost going to buy one till i asked 4 of the sellers the exact same questions "can i use paypal to purchase this item" every single seller said these exact words "No we can not accept paypal because we have been having problems with people paying with fake or stolen paypal addresses"

How am I to trust them if i cant pay with paypal.. also why would all 4 sellers say the EXACT same words? Seemed suspicious to me.

I would use a credit card and if anything went wrong first request a refund, if that doesn't happen just contact your credit card provider and report the fraud usually they will perform a chargeback for you.

I think , to complain it to the credit prover... I am sure they gonna help you out in this. Still it was a useful tip ... Fhanks for it.

Sometimes buyers use this way to scam sellers.They first buy the item then file a chargeback by credit card company.

Good idea. On a second thought the all of the four sellers might be the same person trying to rip you off

Don't blame sellers if they don't accept paypal. They may have had a bad experience with them.

Now a days, there are hell lot of scammers on ebay and other shopping sites.
Most frequently we see them selling mobile phones at damn down to earth prices.

one thing you have to look at to is the guys feedback as a seller.

this will give some insight into what your dealing with.
