Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I use e-bay for some small purchases, but I am worried about making any large purchases because of fraud. I know about checking feedback reading the fine print, but what other kind of techniques work? Also should you trust those 3rd party listing sites that say they have strict rules? Thanks for your help, Biggerboy! |

I dont recommend other sites.. but thats just me.. a better way to protect yourself make sure that they have excellent rep from buyers and also get from Canada or US.. I have only been only not recieved an item once from the US 3 times in UK and hong kong... |

Use Paypal and pay by credit card, and if the item never shows and you have been scammed you have more recourse than just Ebay and Paypal because you can enter a dispute with your credit card company. That is the best way to protect yourself.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | There's always a risk of being scammed. You can get scammed in a regular store if you get "helped" by an employee who lies to you in order to make a product look good so he can sell it. Just go with someone with a good reputation. That's really about the only thing you can do.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | When you check a prospective buyer's feedback make sure you do go into detail and look at the listings where they are the buyer - a lot of scammers use bots to buy all the penny buy it now items so that they can get a huge feedback score before they go and scam someone.
