Default bid too high

anyone here ever bid too high by accident, lets say you want to bid $10 but accidently put $100 and dont realize it. and leave it alone, anyone do that before?

I have done that once but i realized soon and retracted by bid lol. But my cousin bid on a PS2 controller or xbox, well one of them for "$20" but put an extra 2 there so it was $220 and he won it. He realized when he went to check out, he's stupid lol, but he contacted seller and explained everything. he didnt get the item but had to pay the seller back the refund for listing the item.

I dont think that is right because all the seller had to do is open up a dispute saying that they mutually agreed not to do transaction.. Perhaps you can mention that to your friend for next time.

I've never done that. I've seen it done before and the sellers aren't always pleasant about it.

was he bidding on a controller or the console? Your post isn't very clear. If he was bidding on the console then that price is in line, but if it was the controller no one would've bid it up that high to make it reach $220. Either way I think you're story telling a bit...

I'm always very careful about what I put into that box. I think that if you don't take the bid back within a few hours you should be stuck with what you put in there. And really, you only pay enough to go higher than the second place person anyway.
