Thread: eBay Account Break-In

The only reason I suspected my eBay account had recently been hacked into was because I KNEW my PayPal had been. When I looked around, I realized that the person had gotten into my eBay account and changed the information about where money should be directed if anyone purchased items from me on eBay! People would have made payments and it would have gone to somebody else's account. Thank goodness I saw it, was able to tell eBay about it, and changed it before anything happened.

If you don't mind me asking...how was your PayPal and E-bay account hacked into? I'm just curious, as I don't have accounts with either website anymore. And, it is a very good thing that you had caught the changed information, before anything could have happened.

I suspect that there was malware on my computer that was tracking my passwords. I installed a remover and it found some things and removed it. I only with they could trace where the malware came from and who was in my accounts to catch them.

I'm glad that you managed to catch this. The person who can develop the software you mention will become very rich, very quickly. If only it could be me!
