    Posting stuff abroad

There used to be a popular scam on Ebay where the buyer asked you to post something to an address in South Africa or Nigeria. I once refused to do this. I imagine that they'd say it hadn't arrived and claim their money back. Has anyone been caught like this?

Are you asking if they have arrested any of the South African people behind this scam, or are you asking if anyone has ever fallen for that scam? I have never heard of it before.

The best thing you can do with a scammer is ignore them. It's like spam, once you respond, they know they have a live person.

My daughter was asked to post a mobile phone to an address in Nigeria once and she refused. This was a winning buyer on Ebay and they were based in the UK but claimed to have a father in Nigeria when it came time to actually pay. Very suspicious!
