First of all you should know some of marketing. Read articles about it. Second there is userfreindlyness, you need to keep your visitors happy in order for them to come back. Make sure you have fresh content. In case of the directory make sure you market it well. Mainly when people want to submit their site to a directory they look to pagerank. Make sure your website is SEO freindly. If you dont know what that means search google for it .Forums are hard to set up. Try some paid posting and advertise it a bit. No one will sign up if your forum is dead. I am sure I missed a lot of things but I think I covered the basics well. | |
