The problem in general is peoples goals are simply to make a lot of money. While possible, that's not really a goal. Goals should be clear and well defined.

It is hard to make a living out of wedesigning.
The large amount of money lies with having your own sites.

The problem with webdesign is that your income changes all the time so you dont have a regular income and might meet financial problems.

Its a though buiseness. I can tell as I am a webdsigner myself.

there is a lot of scope in the designing career provided you are able to prove your talent. u need to build a great portfolio of all ur work and then the right skills to showcase it.
