Default Free Hosting

There's usually a catch with free hosting. The catch is usually that the host will put ads on your site. These ads cannot be removed or modified by you, only the host itself has control over it.

You shouldn't blame them though. Servers are not cheap and since they're giving away hosting for free, they need to generate income somehow.

Clicking on these ads can cause spam emails to be sent out to the person that clicked them. It's hard not to click on the ads. Some of them move around a lot.

Free web hosting is fine if you want to have a social page, a resume page or even a small website devoted to a celebrity. For business revenue, however, it is not the best choice.

If you want to make money on the internet, the way to do it is to use a dedicated server. With a dedicated server, which is all yours, you can run your own ads, put more of your own sites up or even start your own free hosting to run your ads on other peoples' sites.

Free web hosting is good for those who only want to use the internet sparingly, but not for the purpose of making money. Even a shared server, which is a step up from a free server, is limited. To truly make money on the internet, you have to make use of all aspects, including the ads and affiliate links.

Advertising on the internet can be free if you understand how to use the search engines to generate interest in your products as well as use a dedicated server to its maximum abilities. While a free host is a fine idea for a personal website that can help you keep your family updated about your life, it is not the way to make money on the internet.

I think you should look for free hosting that does not required banner. you can try 000werbhost.com, they provide quality hosting but don't believe in their affiliate program.

Cheers

byethost.com and freehostia also don't force ads and they're pretty good.

I did use a free web hosting site service named, "Freewebs" and they do require us to put their Google adsense at the very top of our site (Well, as you've said here, there always some catch for the free things).

FreeWebs is alright for something small. Just a site you want to put your resume on or something, nothing you expect to make money from or promote.

Hmm..., although I'm hated to admit it, but you do have the point here, Jerlene.

Furthermore, the templates of FreeWebs also very limited and unattractive as well
