Vbulletin is the way to go.

All the big forums these days use it.

I prefer Vbulletin, it is tested through time, works well, good and fast support.
The only problem is, it is costly.

Without any doubt its vBulletin, Its fast has lots of cool options but its very costly.

I also like MyBB it free and much similar to vBulletin.
