When a parents dies who is responsible for paying off their credit card debt?

I believe it goes back to their estate, i.e. home, properly, assets. Assuming that's not enough to cover it, not sure. Good question tough.

i worked for a debt collection company last year and once a death certificate has been provided it gets written off if no way to pay it

The children are, but most likely you will have allotments that will pay off the debt. If you can't pay it, it will get written off!

No it doesnt go their children
If the person has any assets that will be claimed
Else the payment debt goes as unpaid

I suppose the clauses say that the payment is rendered unpayable if the debtor dies. Or maybe government pays.

I think , if his family member can pay it comfortably, then its ok otherwise its written off.
