Default Debit or Credit?

If you want to stay out of debt, a good one to do that is put everything on your debit card instead of your credit card. If you don't have enough money in your debit account, don't buy what you want - unless you need to. Save your money for it.

I agree...I use my debit card for everything. Works just like a credit card..with none of the after affects...

I don't get anything with credit anymore...i have one more credit card to pay off, then i'm through with them all. If i don't have the money for it...then i just have to wait.

I would have to agree with the posts above. Debit cards keep you from spending what you do not have, therefore keeping you out of debt. However, you still have to be careful, as some banks will allow you to charge up to $200-$300 dollars beyond what you have in your checking account.

I think debit card rule the race as they keep us spending in a certain limit. i think its always better to remain a proper bond and moreover ,we doesn't have to make adjustments in future for the payment purposes.

I'm going to have to disagree. You don't have anywhere near the recourse with debit cards as you do with credit cards if a fraudulent transaction is posted. Would you rather have to deal with credit card issues that are easily fixed, or an empty bank account which can cause incoming checks to bounce?

credit cards are a good means if used in the right way but if used excessive it can become a disease...of debt..and then payiing them off..

i personally prefer using checking accounts or debit cards....
