Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I once made the mistake of getting a card, on my account, for my ex, in his name. That was a bad mistake, because I gave authorization for him to use it I was still held liable when the bill came in. A bill in the tune of thousands, that he spent on his girlfriend.....Lesson that was learned, do not trust even your spouse with ANYTHING, much less your credit. |

| Member | First you start off with no credit, so you feel like you will never be able to get credit. Then you manage to get a few smaller cards, figuring, ok, will pay these off no problem. Then after that goes well, you start getting larger and larger cards, thinking, well, if I couldn't pay them, they wouldn't give them to me. A few months go by, building up debt without even realizing it. Before you now it, you are $$$,$$$ in credit card debt and no way out. Wow, that was a rough ride ![]() You can get in over your head very quickly and no one is immune. Best lesson, if you can't afford it, don't buy it. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I was expecting I had some credit lefts based on my purchases. But when I paid the items I ordered, my card was denied . The reason is over the credit limit. I wondered why. I was notified that credit card company charged my annual fees including my supplementary account holders and over the credit limit penalties. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I defaulted on my bill payments for several due payment dates causing my bills to accumulate . I ended up receiving demand letters from the credit card company which ultimately led me to loan out funds to pay my card in full. It's double jeopardy for me. It's indeed a big lesson.
