Default Is your Credit Card ever stolen or misplaced?

The title says is all...

Please post you experiences good or bad you had, and what all immediate action you took.

Never happened with me yet...I feel luck about it

I would say it is not a common problem really, I mean I have not heard any horror stories of them. Though I did lose my wallet once with my credit card in it, though it was returned with the card still intact.

I have both lost and had my cards stolen in the past. It is a pain when you are on a trip besides that a simple form stating which purchases you didn't make are all that they have you fill out.

I've never had my cards lost or stolen, but I thought I lost my card once. I was in a real panic.

Default Lost card.

I think I posted elsewhere that my Dad lost his card a few weeks ago, and as far as I know, has never got it back. I think he has been lucky so far, because he has not mentioned anything happening, but the bank was so apathetical about it - no suggestions of freezing or watching the account for example, just "oh yeah and we'll send you another card within a week/ten days."

He's an older person, and with all the possibilities of what could happen, it burns me that neither he nor the bank was concerned enough to take larger measures. He did go back everywhere he had been and look for the card, but nothing.

It just aggravates me that the loss was not handled like I think it should have been, more securely.

That is not good at all!
Hopefully it was lost at home and not out in public. Who knows who could be getting ready to use the card.
I'm sure they're going to send him a new card with a new number so that should be good enough.
