Use it once a month for a very low cost thing, like $10. Then pay that off immediately when your statement comes in. That shows you have a history of paying things off on time and is good for establishing your credit history. The rest of hte month, put it in a bag filled with water and freeze it!

The income of these card companies is based on the lust and greed factor of the users. As you spend more than you can afford your debt increases and they earn more and more from the amount they had lent you in the past.

Use you card only when it is very urgent. Do'nt abuse it and spend only that much which you can afford to payback.

You need to be very careful with your credit card. First of all , you should try to remember the code of your card and if you can't do this then in no case you should keep it with your credit card....Moreover , i suggest you not to give your credit card to anybody for the usage.

I think you should use your credit card wisely, i mean use it only when it is required... and make a habit of paying all your pending bills on time to avoid the interest rate burden.

The most important tip is that it should be used overdue as you need to know how much income you get to afford the expense.

What I would say to you is.

1. Only use your card for things you really need and you have absolutely no cash for.

2. Do not spend beyond your means.

3. Pay your balance at the end of the month.

4. Do not let your spenditure build up.

5. Do not only pay the minimum balance, always try to pay more.

6. Don't get one if you have managed without one till now.

The first and foremost advice would be to not carry your credit card for shopping and never hold any amount in pending, pay off wholly every month without fail.

The others are all correct! Don't use it unless it's an emergency, and always try to pay the full balance when the bill comes in.
