While using a credit card online, some problems are faced by the users basically misuse of the card number? How can this be prevented from scams?

What do you mean? Someone entered their number incorrectly?

Or the site they entered their number in is misusing it?

It's the consumer's job to do some research on the company they are purchasing a product from. That's the best way to prevent any fraud.

If I've never heard of a company before, then I'm not buying from them anytime soon. I have no problem buying from companies like Amazon, Newegg, or someplace like that, because a bunch of other people have used them, and they are pretty trustworthy.

Payment will never push thru not unless you have entered your credit card information correctly. Else if it is a phishing site then that is where the problem exists because your card information is captured.

You should also check url of the location you enter your credit card number ..
check extensions .. i mean if you type your credit card on ebay.com , check that extension is .com or .co.uk and not ebay.buddy.com
