Well actually, what you're saying is not totally true. A credit card can be very helpful in building a credit history and having good credit scoring. However, you have to be a responsible individual. Paying your balance in full monthly, although it sounds like a great idea, does not help you build a good credit history. I would recommend paying more than the minimum required and never, ever being late on payments.
I do agree with you in the sense that some people will continue to use the plastic until the debt has become unmanageable, and in this case the person will then ruin their credit score, but this is certainly not the case for everyone. Credit cards are not the enemy, we, ourselves become the enemy when we forget that the money we use from credit cards is a loan and must be paid back. |
