Default One month at a time

Paying off credit card debt can be overwhelming if you look at the entire balance. Don't allow yourself to become overwhelmed with it. Just take it one month at a time. Get this month taken care of and then start concentrating on when your due dates are for the next month.

I have found this process to be effective.

I agree, if you tend to pay your accumulated balance in a 6 months period, you will realize that you are paying too much; but if you pay them monthly, you will always be paying a smaller amount and you will even get a chance to have better credit rewards and points.

Its called divide and conquer strategy. Break your debt into parts and assign a part to be paid off per month.

It's good to break it down into smaller amounts. It can get overwhelming to look at the large number. You feel like you can never get it down. I'm like that with my mortgage. I want to pay it off, but I think of it in small increments.

I am also following this strategy to pay off my credit card debt because it doesn't put a lots of burden on your shoulders all at once. I have found this strategy most efficient.

But its better not to overburden yourself with enjoying too much of spending through debt from your credit card. You'll have to pay for it anyway
