I have felt the stress of credit card debt and it has ruled my life in the past. I am now in control and have no fears about the mail as it comes in.

Anyone can overcome this stress with a stick to it attitude.

Being in control feels much better than being weighed down with the stress of credit card debt.

That is the reason why I really dont like using credit cards...Debit cards are pretty good and I face no problem at all using them

Credit Cards have there advantages over debit cards.

With a debit card you are limited to the funds you have in your account and your overdraft protection(which can be costly).

With a credit card you can fund your normal life in the event you cannot work or have an emergency need for cash and have no other way of funding it.

We got into credit card debt a few years back when I was pregnant with our 3rd child. I couldn't let our house payment or utilities fall behind so I used the credit cards to fund anything we couldn't afford at the time. But once you fall behind it becomes almost impossible to dig your way back out. Unless you hit the lottery or something. lol

I really hate the feeling that I'm in debt. One reason why I got a Debit card aside from my credit card. When I was still using my credit card often, I use to pay on time so I won't have sleepless nights thinking that I owe someone something.

It really depends on the types of lifestyle you live or want to live in. I personally am very contented by living on what I can afford. One reason why I only use my credit cards very seldom. I often use debit cards for online transactions.

You should definitely do this tip, nobody else could help you out but yourself. Be practical in making decisions and choices, estimate the budget you'll be needing in paying off your debt as well as your bills at home.

As someone in debt at the moment, I agree with what the other posters have said.

It can feel like you're going nowhere, and there's no way out of the debt, but sit down, write out your finances, make sure you can afford to LIVE, then work out what you can pay off your debts.

Contact your creditors - in writing, not over the phone, and tell them that this is what you can afford to pay.

Stick to your guns, and eventually they will listen and you'll feel in control again.
