Default Debit cards

If you have been having trouble in using credit cards, why not try using debit cards instead. You can use it almost anywhere and you can only spend so much as you put in it and not a penny more. You can even use it in online transactions now.

I am an advocate of using debit cards as well. They basically serve the same functions as credit cards, with the added advantage that you will never have to worry about spending beyond your means.

I too use Debit Cards and when I need more than my balance, I insert my Credit Card into the slot!

I also use debit cards, it really helped me in my spending sickness. When I used to have a credit card, I tend to overspend, but when I started to use debit cards, it really made me spend only what I have.

It is a good way to have discipline, by having a limit on what you can spend. The only problem is you can't use your debit card in emergency cases.

I use debit cards these days, but I don't think they're as good as credit cards - they don't offer cashback, airmiles, or purchase protection, and they often aren't acceptable as a form of age verification.

I wish I was more organised with my finances so that I could get the benefits of credit cards again.

The problem with debit cards is that they are not accepted widely on the internet.
Websites prefer to use credit cards instead.

I agree. Debit cards are not yet widely used for online transactions. But I think debit cards are great. It is a good replacement for credit card. You'll never experience debt. Thinking that you are spending your hard earned money, will give you some control on not spending the money wisely.

Debit cards are better than the credit cards as you never have any risk of spending more than you can manage. But sometimes if you need a little bit more, then that is not possible on debit cards.
