I'd suggest you people to go for debit cards rather than credit cards for spending. I just faced an incedent when a guy stole my debit card and when he tried to buy something out of it the cost of that thing exceeded the amount in my account. This made the shop staff suspicious and gradual; he was caught. I really could not control my laugh . Probably his bad luck

You don't get mileage or any rewards from debit cards. Even if you do, it's not as much. You can always call in to the bank if someone steals your CC...

Definitely debit cards are good alternative for credit cards. You can actually regulate your online spending because it is dependent on your curremt account balance. The only disadvantage is that you don't enjoy the same chargeback protection as that of credit cards.
