I prefer Visa, that was the first credit I got, so I tend to stick with that. To me anything that don't have an annual fee works for me.

I also have VISA, and have no problem using it at all, also verified by PayPal thought it.

May I know precisely what the advantages of MasterCard over VISA, as so many of you guys are recommending it?

Default Visa and Paypal

I have Visa for my debit card. Paypal rejected it after trying it once, which was the big aggravation for me. Occasionally Visa will reject on the basis of address, depends on if it will take PO Boxes versus street addresses that day or not. Usually the deciding factor is what order is used, if I give both, and which one I give.

I always give PO Box address, anything sent to my street will be returned. If that does not work, then I give the street address, and explain about how the post office does or does not handle the addresses.

That may be why Paypal rejected your Visa card. I use electronic transfer, and though that takes a while, it works well for me. Gives me a cooling off period if necessary and keeps my card info off line.

I have watched the phone alert commercials for (I think) American Express, but AMEX and Mastercard seem so expensive to me. I will probably keep Visa should I ever get a general credit card.

Capital one all the way, they have been the best for me service and APR wise. They are the best card to get! No points, but still the best!

I think the best card is one which make indiviual comfortable and doesn't affect his pocket hard. I am using AMEX and i think it is simply the best!!
