Default Account Restructuring

I work for a financing company. If a customers has unpaid monthly amortizations and dormant account, we offer our customers a sort of "rehab program". This includes restructuring.

Do credit cards offer something like this? If you're into credit card debt, is there any payment option available?

I think there are many options you have with credit card companies. Especially if you tell them your potentially looking at bankruptcy as they would rather lower your percentage rate or give you a lower balance vs. nothing.

I think some credit card companies offer to pay your debt to other credit card companies in monthly terms.

Yes definitely. Credit card companies are not that cutthroat, at least as far as I know it. You should just talk it out with the company's employees so you could figure out the best way to get you out of your debt.

Most people think that the best way to get out of there debt is to claim bankruptcy so everything is taken care of.. but then they are basically done for anything like owning a credit card or having to get a loan for a car or anything.

Yes companies do give similar kind of 'rehab' programs. Alternatively one can take a new cc and transfer the entire balance to the new card and start afresh in a more systematic manner - before transferring the balance one must look at the transfer interest rates on the offer doc.
