Default Protecting credit when you're a fraud victim

One negative thing about fraud is that it can not only cost you money now, but can cost you later if fraudulent entries show up in your credit report. In the US, we can get a credit report from each of the three bureaus for free. What I do is get one about every four months in order to watch my credit without paying money for credit monitoring.

The site is:

I pay a few extra dollars a month on my credit cards to have the additional fraud protection, it's well worth it to me.

I've used this site. It is legit. I think it often gets associated with site like freecreditreport.com, which many people have said is a scam. I've had good experiences with annualcreditreport.com.
