There are many posts in this forum that are also pushing IE7 and that it also has an anti-phishing resource; in my personal point of view, I'll still go for firefox. It is still a kick %#@ browser as far as I'm concerned.

firefox is the best as it has all the updates on regular basis rather than once a month service patches

This is great news for firefox users. I hope Internet Explorer comes up with their version of phishing protection feature. It has been circulating for a long time. Phishing is a great problem for all internet users.

I guess having seen IE7 offer such anti-phishing features for users, firefox has no choice but to do likewise.
Otherwise, they will definitely lose out.

I agree. The only advantage firefox have over IE7 is that it updates almost everyday and through that, you can see that they are constantly upgrading the browser to be better and more secured.

Spoofstick can you help you detect phishing attempts. Spoofstick is a light application . Though it is not the ultimate solution, it can be of great help. This application is free and designed as an extension of the browsers Mozilla and Internet Explorer.

Another good tool is Netcraft. It has a Mozilla browser version. It is light and free application which can help you identify phishing sites. You can evaluate sites you visit as Netcraft displays sites’ profile like hosting location, including originating country.
