Default Opera secure?

Nowadays we hear a lot of things about IE not being secure enough and that Firefox is the best browser in terms of security. What about OPera?
In my opinion Opera is more secure than IE and is on the same level than Firefox.

I have not tried Opera yet, but I heard good reviews about it especially with regards to its features. It is often compared with Firefox. This is because these two are next best options after IE. Firefox has a cleaner web browser because of fewer icons.

I used to have Opera as my browser, but I changed to Firefox right after as the security in Firefox is better and it is a little lighter to my old computer's resources.

opera is safer than both firefox and IE, has more plugins and hard to hack, has virus protection built in, i use it a lot.

I currently use Internet Explorer and have no problem with it. But I have been eager to try out Opera, and I think I might look into it.

The problem with most browsers are that people don't keep them updated. As long as you get the newest bugfixes and security fixes you are usually fine with any browser. Hackers target IE that is why you hear about it getting hacked more often.

Many people including one of my friends said Opera is quite good in security. I am not very much convinced but I am prepared to try it.

Opera is plenty secure from what the news and friends are saying! I guess it's second to firefox though, which I use by the way!

It is very secure. I see that lots of people use it without problems. I would recommend using FireFox out of all of them because they seem to be the best for security.

I use both Opera and Firefox and I like both of them in terms of security.
But my preference go to Opera which uses less resources.
