IE7 does have a phishing filter function which you can make use of to help detect phishing sites.
If you have the phishing filter on for your browser, you will see this little green bar at the bottom of your browser window whenever you are loading any website.

Never knew that. Sounds like a valuable feature.
Anyone know of a add-on that does the same for firefox ?

IE7 is a good resource if you are just trying out web browsing, but if you are more experienced and would just like a light browser that is not heavy on your pc's resources, then Firefox is definitely for you.

Well, since we are on the topic of browsers, how does Opera compare with Firefox?
Which one is better if I want to minimise the usage of my computer's resources?

Opera is better than Firefox in the sense that it uses less resources.
To return to the thread I feel that Opera and Firefox is still more secure than IE7.
