Default Companies that promise to protect against identity theft.

What do you all think about companies that promise to protect against identity theft? Is that possible. I heard of one company offering a lifetime guarantee.

I do believe in such companies but not a lot. Identity theft is becoming common now a days so even if they promise protection now, then after some time there is always a chance.

I do not think that a company can protect you from identity theft. these companies are just out to steal your money.

Being a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist with PrePaidLegal Services, Inc. , I have to say ,I believe, there is no protection against Identity Theft. Not trying to instill fear, not at all. Companies that offer lifetime guarantees have only been in business maybe 5 years. Maybe. Others such as "insurance" they say they will reimburse you, Okayyyyy how many of us can provide receipts for items we didnt steal? Or all our receipts for every single thing we have to claim. THEN, if approved, you will supposedly be reimbursed.
I have yet to hear of anyone using Identity theft Insurance.
And Fact, your numbers are out there. Whether someone stealing electronically, digging in your trash, taking mail out of your mailbox, agencies posting it online (mistakenly , so they say). There is no set path for identity thieves.
Now I will say this, I always encourage everyone to call their credit card companies, call your banks or whoever you do financial dealings with.
ASK specific questions on how they handle such instances. The more you know the better decisions you can make.
When online and doing a transaction, always always look for that little pad lock on the bottom of your screen and I suggest to read those privacy policies (some are a joke!) prior to putting your info on there.
My last thing is to also take the time to go to my site and watch the video I have with regards to coverages with Identity Theft that we offer that truly is the ONLY restoration service available in the US.
If nothing else it will provide you with a little more information.
I do hope the best for all when faced with any legal matters. I have them also.Just remember
