I have about this consumer fraud act in US. I am not good at interpreting laws. Is there someone who can briefly explain this to us? What is the benefit of this to the consumers?
Actually I am from India so I cant help you much...but in India they have provided speical courts where the consumer can fight without the lawer so that he does not have to undertake any exprenses to fight against the fraud merchant
Here in Egypt, you file a complain and the authorities look into it, If there was more complaints about the same seller. He get courted as soon as possible.
Fraud is rampant in the USA. Especially identity theft where someone pretends to be someone else to establish or takeover their credit history. Obviously the end result is damaged credit and countless hours letter writing to straighten it out.
