Glad to have found this forum. Impressed by the chargeback article on top of this thread. Easy to understand.

Also, while I generally wait until posting in a new forum...the question about chargebacks on checks...

Consumers can charge back checks for up to 60 days. It requires contacting the bank and filing an affadavit. The chargeback window for business checks is 3 days.

Wells Fargo provides a great online resource on how to resolve chargebacks. This is very high level but it gives everyone a good place to start.

Very useful sites... Thanks dear...

Can anyone tell me about google chargebacks? ON paypal if a chargeback is issued they take it out of your paypal account if there are no funds there they show a negative balance and ask you to send the money...does google do this or is my bank account going to be charged? Does anyone know?

Google does not save money in your Google account for any length of time. As such, Google would debit your bank account for any chargebacks. Paypal will do the same if you can't cover your balance. In the case of Google if you have enough money to cover it, you will be fine.

Default your mistaken

No paypal does not take money out of your checking account. They leave you a negative balance and lock up your account until you send them money to make the balance even. I know this as it was done to me so your telling me google is different then? Paypal gives you time to send them money so you dont get a bounced check in your bank. So if I have a google account and if I get a chargeback you guys could bounce a check for me then? Also how long does it take to remove the money would I have time to add funds to my bank account or upon decision would it be instant?

This makes keeping my paypal account look better and better since even though they don't protect you from chargebacks at least they don't dip into your checking account without permission.

this is from paypal site:
How can a seller recover funds when a chargeback occurs?

When a chargeback occurs, the money that is subject to the chargeback is deducted from PayPal's bank account. In turn, PayPal places a temporary hold on the same amount in the seller's PayPal balance (i.e., the funds related to the transaction are frozen).
