i guess you can buy the domain names but u need to follow it through the registrar and paying up after the site is complete would be the ideal way of carrying out the transaction.

In simple terms, yes. The domain is just the NAME that points to a particular server. Until you go through the registrar, the nameservers will either point to the old site, from whom you purchased the domain, or they'll point to nowhere. Since that's the case, why buy the domain!

There should be a long conversation between seller and buyer and you should perform your security tests before paying . Always try to purchase from trusted sites .

Lucky break man. Good thing that online transactions has security measures like this. There are many individuals with different modus operandi nowadays, all trying to think of a new way to make a run for you hard earned cash.

Where were you buying it from? A webmaster forum, or dealing with the seller directly?

Always double check everything you did or about to do when you are having online transactions. It is a good thing that you were able to found out early and have a chargeback.

Yeah, good that you took immediate action against such fraud people, but how come to get into his trap, you should do a through research about thr seller past before sending you money. good luck...hope you will get your money back soon.

Nice, now that's a good reason for a chargeback, the last five threads I have looked at have been for stupid reasons. I wish you luck with your money!

I think it great that you got the transaction reversed! I to dislike people that sell things that they don't own this also happeneds on eBay.
