Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey guys! A chargeback is when you tell your credit card company that you did NOT make or authorize a debit to your credit card account. You dispute something you see on your bill and they take the money away from the merchant that charged you and they give the money back to your account. The merchant has to PROOVE that you made that purchase by providing signatures, dates, receipts, etc. DANG, what a hassle all that is (I'm guessing). I've never had to do this (as far as I remember)

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I have used a charge back for a Paypal transaction. I signed up for a trial offer for eBooks and did not receive any eBooks during that time period. I forgot to cancel the subscription so once I saw that I had been charged for the first month, I charged back the payment! ![]() |

This is not always the case with other people. The situation can get tricky sometimes, especially when the counterparty has already emptied his or her paypal account. | |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | My friends have chargebacks often, but I haven't. I usually purchase my products through a trusted seller and some are personal friends as well. I think it is necessary to establish rapport in everything you do so that you will be able to win the trust of people. But one thing is for sure though, there will always be scums that would always defraud you anytime they can. So the very best way is to always be on your guard and always read everything you can regarding anything about your business. |
