Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I am very disappointed in Google Checkout. It is oh so easy to place an order by accident once you have registered your credit card details! I try to cancel my order within seconds when this happened to me and, supposedly, Google Checkout would send me an e-mail confirming that I had contacted the supplier (via Google Checkout) to cancel the order. But the order still went through! Even worse, the order was supposedly despatched by registered post on 4 June but has still not arrived! I cannot track the order on Google (the link does not work) nor can I track in Royal Mail as Roysla Mail says they have no record of it! This is the second time this has happened! I had another order supposedly despatched on 31 May but that has not arrived either! Google provide no means for me to contact them (yes I searched Google Help which just says to contact them if I have difficulty - but they provide no means of contact). Also, the word 'chargeback' does not even appear in the Google help file! It is possible to contact Google via an online form for various Google services but Google Checkout is not on the list of options! I have e-mailed the seller (on three occasions) to find out was is happening but have had no response! What do I do now? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | As, they seemingly posted the item (several days after I ordered it) and I have had no notification order is cancelled (either direct from seller or via Google Checkout) I have to assume order has been despatched. Google Checkout still indicates orders were despatched - both for the order I cancelled and for the order I did not cancel. Does anyone know how to issue a chargeback on Google Checkout? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Just noticed another problem with Google Checkout! Never exit Google Checkout by simply closing the browser window! If you do someone else can simply go to Google Checkout and order goods in your name! Make sure you always exit Google Checkout by pressing the LOG OUT button! This is the first HTTPS site I have ever seen with such a problem! What is the betting there is no information on Google Checkout about closing the account? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | My goods did eventually arrive (including the order I tried to cancel). What I did not realise was they were being posted from China - even though it was a .co.uk website! Trying to find help the Google Checkout website is almost impossible and when I rang Google they refused to discuss my problems unless I could name someone at Google I wished to speak to. Eventually, I found the name of the head of Legal Services at Google and left him a message. I got a phone call back as a result. It was explained that I cannot issue a chargeback via Google and I accept this can only be done via the credit card company. I have now closed my Google account. It is not acceptable that cookies remain after closing browser window - meaning lother people can access my account! It also unacceptablke that it is too easy to place an order without an extra button asking for confirmation. |
