I was wondering if anyone had to do a chargeback though paypal. I did one about a month ago. i did not have any problems. I stated my reason (with was obviously their fault) and my money was returned shortly after that.

I've had to do a few chargebacks before and for legitimate reasons so I of course got the money back for it.

Lucky for me I have never had to do a Chargeback all of the people I work with are great.

I've had to use it twice, not something I liked - but had to get my money back. Both times PayPal refunded it, thankfully.

This is officially stated on the Paypal Site ::

The chargeback system is independent from eBay feedback. Filing a chargeback does not limit a buyer's ability to leave feedback for a seller. In fact, a buyer can file a chargeback even if they have already left positive feedback for the seller. Receiving a chargeback does not in itself negatively impact a seller's eBay feedback rating.

So dont worry if anyone has filled a fake chageback....

i too had to charge a refund...which later didnt get completely refunded..that was abt the laptop..and then i got refunded only 175$ out of the 600 i paid on ebay via paypal...

It could be a partial refund. Refund for chargeback should be full. Better follow it up with Paypal. There should be a justifiable reason for that.

if a dispute is closed then it wont be opened....thats the problem with paypal..it really gives me creeps

With the grace of GOD, i have never been chargeback as my most of the clients are quite descent and honest.

I haven't faced any situation like that doing chargeback in the paypal. I hope not to involve in any chargeback with paypal in future. Please guys, try to avoid chargeback with paypal, they are very sensitive.
